The motion pictures “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another,” along with the TV shows “The Pitt” and “The Studio,” were among the top winners at the 76th annual Eddie Awards.
The awards were presented Friday during a ceremony hosted by actor-comedian Asif Ali at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
The honors from American Cinema Editors (ACE) recognize outstanding editing in 14 categories of film, television, documentaries. This year, for the first time, the group included awards for shorts and digital content.
Special awards were presented to two-time Academy Award winning director Ang Lee, who received the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award for distinguished achievement in the art and business of film, and Kim Larson, YouTube’s managing director and head of it’s creator and gaming team, accepted the ACE Visionary Award on behalf of the streaming platform.
Emmy-winning editor and director Arthur Forney and Oscar-nominated editor Robert Leighton were given career achievement awards.
