One person was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a big rig on the Escondido (215) Freeway in Riverside.
The crash was reported about 5:15 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway south of Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two right lanes of the freeway were closed and a SigAlert was issued and traffic is backed up to the Riverside (60) Freeway.
The Riverside County coroner’s office was summoned to collect the victim’s body.
