“Evil Dead Burn,” the latest installment in the long-running horror franchise, will be featured as a haunted house during this fall’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The attraction also will debut at Universal Orlando Resort.
Inspired by the upcoming sixth film in the “Evil Dead” franchise, the haunted house will recreate scenes from the movie, beginning at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods, where guests will encounter Deadites and other supernatural horrors, according to Universal Studios.
The “Evil Dead” franchise, which debuted in 1981, centers on the Book of the Dead, an ancient text that unleashes demonic forces that possess and transform their victims into Deadites.
Halloween Horror Nights opens Sept. 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood and runs select nights through Nov. 1.
The “Evil Dead Burn” attraction joins a growing lineup for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, which also includes haunted houses based on the horror film “Sinners,” Netflix’s hit series “Stranger Things” and the “Hellraiser” franchise.
The “Hellraiser” attraction marks the first time the franchise has been featured at Halloween Horror Nights. Inspired by the original film trilogy, the haunted house will take guests through locations from the films.
Universal has also announced a haunted house based on Ryan Coogler’s supernatural horror film “Sinners,” along with an attraction inspired by Netflix’s “Stranger Things.”
The company said additional haunted houses and attractions will be announced before Halloween Horror Nights opens.
