About 1,300 Department of Water and Power customers in an area of Los Angeles just south of Beverly Hills remained without electricity Friday evening, the result of an outage that originally affected about 1,600.
The problem was reported about 11:30 a.m. near Pico and Robertson boulevards, said Vonda Paige of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
Crews were working to restore service, she said.
Paige was unable to confirm a media report that the outage began after a vehicle knocked down a power line.
