
A picturesque park in San Pedro was the scene of a mysterious tragedy Friday where a man’s body was found at the bottom of a cliff.
Officials said the victim may have purposely jumped from the cliff top in Point Fermin Park in San Pedro, but there was no confirmation of that possibile suicide.
The dead man an Hispanic male who appeared to be in his 50s. The body was found early Friday afternoon, with Los Angeles Fire Department crews able to hoist the body into a helicopter and away from the scene.
His death is being investigated as a possible suicide, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office reported.
