Firefighters in a chopper rescued a 42-year-old woman from a hiking trail above Pacific Palisades Sunday.
LAFD spokesperson Amy Bastman said dispatchers were called at 11:36 a.m. about a hiker in distress about one half of a mile north of the Paseo Miramar trail, above Sunset Boulevard and the Pacific Coast Highway. She was unable to come down from the trail because of a knee injury.
The woman was hoisted from the trail and transported to a nearby hospital via helicopter. Her injuries were non life threatening, Bastman said.
