A sewage spill has resulted in the closure of beaches 100 yards up and down the coast of the Ballona Creek outfall in Marina del Rey.
The 1,100 gallon sewage spill into Marina del Rey was from a blockage of grease in a sewer line, County of Los Angeles Public Health officials said Sunday.
Residents and other beach users were advised to stay out of the water until the areas of beach are cleaned and the advisory is removed, officials said.
Dry areas of beach are not affected.
