Flames destroyed the Big Oaks Lodge in Santa Clarita Sunday, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the lodge at 33101 Bouquet Canyon Rd., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said.
The restaurant was fully involved when firefighters arrived, Pittman said. Flames spread to a 5,000 square foot patch of brush but were quickly put out.
The restaurant was so involved in flames that firefighters focused their efforts on preventing spread while the fire burned itself out, he said.
The flames were out at 1:15 a.m., officials said. No injuries were reported but the building was a total loss.
