Southland motorists heading to LAX or driving near it Saturday should allow extra time due to a street-resurfacing project on Imperial Highway.
The road work will be done from 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on westbound Imperial, which will be closed between Sepulveda Boulevard and Main Street.
As part of the work, the Imperial Highway exit from the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway will be closed.
Vehicles will have to exit at the northbound or southbound Sepulveda Boulevard off-ramps.
Eastbound Imperial Highway will remain open throughout the weekend.
