A man wearing all black clothing was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday while walking in lanes of the Glen Anderson (105) Freeway, authorities said.
The man was reported at 2:07 a.m. walking on the eastbound Glen Anderson Freeway west of Vermont Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.
At 2:16 a.m., the CHP received a call from a motorist who said he “collided into the pedestrian,” Kimball said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:32 a.m., the officer said.
His age was not released.
Officers held traffic from all lanes upon arrival and a SigAlert was issued for at 2:47 a.m. for all lanes except the HOV lane west of Vermont Avenue, he said.
