An unconscious person found on a Towsley Canyon hiking trail Friday was rescued with a helicopter, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The discovery was reported at 1:14 p.m., two miles from the trailhead, said fire department spokesman Austin Bennett.
Units arrived at the scene at 1:22 and requested an air squad for a person with an “altered level of consciousness,” Bennett said.
The air squad arrived 20 minutes later and extracted the person, who was immediately given medical attention.
The person’s identity was not immediately made available.
