Santa Monica firefighters rescued a man who fell from the top of the bluffs near Ocean Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard early Saturday, authorities said.
It happened about 2:35 a.m., Santa Monica Fire Department Capt. Eric Himler said.
Firefighters located the man, believed in his early 20s, about 50 feet up from Pacific Coast Highway, Himler said.
Firefighters used rope rescue equipment and an aerial ladder attached to a fire truck to retrieve the man, who had a leg injury, he said.
The man was taken to a hospital with stable vital signs, Himler said.
