City fire crews extinguished a blaze in 15 minutes in an attached garage of a home in Sylmar Friday evening.
Twenty-six firefighters were sent to the home in the 12100 block of Vista Ranch Avenue, near Laurel Canyon Boulevard, and the fire was extinguished without injuries, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two dogs were in the home but were able to get to the backyard safely, Prange said.
The fire did not spread from the garage to the rest of the home, according to Prange.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
