Two people inside a motel room near the Los Angeles-Culver City border were sent to a hospital Monday when a car drove through a wall and into the room.
The car, which was driven by a person who worked for a rental car company, ran through a wall and into a one-story motel room about 5:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, near the Ballona Creek, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A man and woman inside the room were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Humphrey said.
Personnel from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety are at the scene assessing the structural integrity of the building, which was built in the 1940s.
