A rider suffered serious injuries Saturday after falling off a horse, who returned to a ranch in Granada Hills on its own.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:31 a.m. to a trail in the 18000 block of West Rinaldi Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The rider was hoisted into an air ambulance and taken to an area hospital. The horse suffered no injuries and was secured back into its stall.
