More than 1,800 Southern California Edison customers were without power for an hour Friday evening after metallic balloons became tangled in power lines in Long Beach.

The outage was reported about 6:30 p.m. in the area of 10th Street and Pacific Avenue, according to Public Information Specialist Reggie Kumar of Southern California Edison.

The power was restored to all affected customers by 7:35 p.m., Kumar told City News Service.
