A big rig and a vehicle collided on Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms Wednesday, leaving at least one motorist with minor injuries.
The crash was reported at 7:12 a.m. in the eastbound direction, east of Bob Hope Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One westbound lane was closed at Monterey Avenue as of 8:55 a.m., with photos from the scene showing traffic congestion in the eastbound direction.
An ambulance was summoned for a motorist suffering from minor injuries, the CHP said.
Between 35-40 gallons of diesel spilled near the center divider, according to the CHP.
