A fire damaged a house in the south Los Angeles area Wednesday where an apparent marijuana grow operation was underway, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 4400 block of South Crocker Street at 5:30 a.m. extinguished the flames in 20 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries were reported.
The single-story home had “excessive storage,” a term that generally defines pack-rat conditions, but in this instance, the fire department said the contents included an apparent marijuana grow operation.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
