A crash involving two motorcycles and at least four other vehicles Thursday prompted the closure of the transition road from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the southbound Pasadena (110) Freeway in Los Angeles for a couple of hours.

The crash was reported just before 4 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A SigAlert for the transition road was issued about 4:15 a.m., and the roadway was reopened about two hours afterward, the CHP said.

Details of what led to the crash were not immediately available.
