Firefighters continued to battle a stubborn brushfire burning for more than two-and-a-half hours in the Santa Monica Mountains in Brentwood that has blackened about a quarter-acre of grass, according to Los Angeles Fire Department.
The struggle began about 6:35 p.m. near the Sullivan Fire Road in Rustic Canyon, fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Firefighters are four LAFD water-dropping helicopters and one county fire helicopter, plus hand crews to try and corran the flames, Humphrey continued.
So far no injuries have been reported and no structures have been threatened.
