A horse trapped after being struck by a vehicle in Sylmar Wednesday evening was freed without injury.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched about 7 p.m. for reports of the horse struck in the 14200 block of Bledsoe Street, near Olive View Drive, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Crews arrived to find that the horse, who was not injured, had either freed itself or was freed by someone else, Stewart said.
The horse was returned to the care of its owner by 7:45 p.m., according to Stewart.
