A fire spread along a row of vacant bungalows this evening in Hollywood, but no one was injured.
The fire was reported about 8:20 p.m. in the 5900 block of West Barton Avenue, near the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Forty-three firefighters extinguished the flames in about 30 minutes, Stewart said, and nearby apartment buildings were not damaged.
Crews were expected remain at the scene to extinguish remaining hot spots.
The cause was under investigation.
