A fire damaged the attic of a vacant house in the West Los Angeles area Wednesday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 2200 block of South Greenfield Avenue at 9:41 a.m. extinguished the flames in the single-story building in 24 minutes, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 1,634-square-foot home, built in 1927, apparently was undergoing renovation, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
