Allegiant airlines Tuesday announced that nonstop service from John Wayne Airport will begin later this year to two new destinations — Eugene, Ore., and Austin, Texas.

The flights to Eugene will begin Oct. 8, while the flights to Austin will begin Nov. 18, the airline said. The new nonstop routes will operate twice weekly, with limited introductory one-way fares starting at $39.

Seats and dates will be limited on the introductory pricing, and fares will not be available on all flights, the airline said. In addition, flights must be purchased by Wednesday for travel by Feb. 14, 2022 to qualify.
