A fire damaged a fifth-floor apartment in a high-rise building in the Mid-Wilshire area Thursday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 300 block of South Hauser Boulevard at 10:57 a.m. extinguished the flames in 20 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Some firefighters remained on scene, working to remove smoke and fumes from the 13-story building that was built in 1951.
