Firefighters Sunday knocked down an outside fire that threatened a one-story strip mall in Woodland Hills.

Firefighters dispatched at 6:04 a.m. to 22851 W. Ventura Blvd. had the fire out within 16 minutes of their arrival, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“There was material stored (including bolts of carpet) at the rear of the structure and a dumpster, which were on fire,” Stewart said.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
