A truck hauling a load of sand crashed Thursday on an off-ramp from the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway near Griffith Park, blocking lanes and leaving two people injured.

The crash was reported about 10:30 a.m. on the Forest Lawn Drive off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The off-ramp and all westbound lanes of the freeway were closed after the crash, the CHP reported. Three freeway lanes were reopened after about a half hour, but the off-ramp remained closed late Thursday morning while crews worked to clear the scene.

Two people were treated for injuries described as “minor to moderate,” the CHP reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
