One man was killed and another was wounded Saturday evening in a shooting in the San Gabriel Valley community of Valinda.
The shooting was reported at 8:47 p.m. in the 15800 block of Amar Road, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken by paramedics to a hospital, where his condition was unknown, Koerner said.
Homicide detectives were conducting a crime scene investigation, he said.
