A COVID-19 infection among South Coast Repertory’s production of “A Christmas Carol” has forced the cancellation of its final performances from Wednesday through Sunday.
“We are truly sorry for this inconvenience and understand the special place that `A Christmas Carol’ has in so many families’ holiday celebrations,” South Coast Repertory’s artistic director David Ivers said.
Said managing director Paula Tomei: “For the health and safety of all our artists, audiences, staff and volunteers, however, we must cancel.”
Routine testing of the company detected the positive COVID-19 case.
Ticket holders will be contacted soon about options for exchanges or refunds.
