Flames burned one unit of a single-story garden-style apartment building in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 5:55 p.m. at 6732 S. Brynhurst Ave., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
Flames were showing from one unit when firefighters arrived, she said.
“Twenty firefighters extinguished the fire in 10 minutes with no injuries reported,” Stewart said. The flames were contained to the unit of origin and no occupants were found inside.
