A motorcyclist was killed Saturday in a solo-vehicle crash on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway in Boyle Heights.

The crash occurred about 1:10 a.m. on the eastbound Santa Monica) Freeway west of the Los Angeles River, according to California Highway Patrol Officer J. Call, who investigated at the scene.

The 35-year-old Covina man was driving a white 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle at unknown speed when he lost control and crashed into the center median, Call said. He was ejected from the motorcycle.

Both the rider and the motorcycle came to rest in the No. 2 eastbound lane, the officer said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his name not immediately released by the coroner’s office.
