Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is scheduled to be among four Black mayors participating in a roundtable discussion at the Essence Festival of Culture Sunday in New Orleans.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens are set to join Bass for what organizers describe as a discussion on how they are approaching governance generally, especially “the myriad challenges and opportunities confronting marginalized communities.”
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell will serve as moderator.
The 10:15 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time discussion will be streamed on Essence.com.
