A motorist who died when a vehicle speeding into a parking lot in Calabasas struck a parked vehicle, pinning him between vehicles, was publicly identified Saturday.
Eric Hamermesh was a 68-year-old resident of Texas, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
The crash occurred about 2:40 p.m. last Saturday in the 26400 block of Rondell Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
A vehicle entered the parking lot from Las Virgenes Road, “accelerated uncontrollably” and collided with a parked vehicle, according a department statement.
The victim, who was exiting his parked vehicle, was pinned between the two vehicles. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
