A man was killed when a pickup truck collided with a big rig at a Lancaster intersection, authorities said Saturday.
The crash occurred at 8:14 p.m. Friday at Sierra Highway (SR 14) and Avenue G, California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt told City News Service.
Esteban Chaj Reynoso, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
The desert intersection was shut down to traffic until 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Brandt said.
