Adoption fees are being waived Saturday for dogs, cats and kittens at all Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles shelters.
The special promotion is being offered Saturday only to help ease the extreme and ongoing overcrowding at local shelters. Fees are being waived for dogs, cats and kittens, but the offer excludes puppies aged 3 months and younger.
The spcaLA operates the South Bay Pet Adoption Center at 12910 Yukon Ave. in Hawthorne, and the P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center at 7700 E. Spring St. in Long Beach.
A third location will open June 5 at 5026 W. Jefferson Blvd. in the historic West Adams District of Los Angeles.
Adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip, age/species-appropriate vaccines, a certificate for a free first exam at a participating VCA Animal Hospital, and no-fee enrollment for Trupanion Pet Insurance.
All regular spcaLA adoption requirements apply.
