Los Angeles firefighters are assisting Ventura County firefighters in rescuing a female hiker injured in a remote area near Woodland Hills.
The woman was injured in an upper section of the Upper Las Virgenes Open Space Reserve, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The rescue attempt included personnel both on the ground and in the air, Humphrey said.
The incident was reported around 4:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the LAFD.
