The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday for the fourth time in five days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.575, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent.
The average price has risen 2 cents over the past five days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.3 cents more than one week ago but 5.7 cents less than one month ago and 79.1 cents lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.919 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the fourth time in five days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.508, one day after recording its largest increase since July 26, 1.3 cents. It has risen 3 cents over the past five days.
The Orange County average price is 1.9 cents more than one week ago but 6.3 cents less than one month ago and 80.3 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.951 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
A 13-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 9.5 cents ended with an increase of 1.1 cents to $3.361, 3.7 cents less than one week ago, 14.5 cents lower than one month ago and 45.8 cents below what is was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.655 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
