The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose a half-cent Monday to $4.396, a day after rising 1.1 cents Monday and its third straight increase after dropping to its lowest amount since July 28, 2021.

The average price is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, but 6.2 cents less than one month ago and 29.9 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.098 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose seven-tenths of a cent to $4.335, a day after rising 1.7 cents. It is 3.9 cents more than one week ago, but 5.1 cents less than one month ago and 22.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.124 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline was unchanged at $3.042, a day after dropping four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, but 1.6 cents less than one month ago and 8.6 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.974 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
