A young man has settled his lawsuit with a McDonald’s franchise in Azusa in which he alleged he was sexually harassed by three male supervisors when he was a teenager to the point that he was forced to quit.

The plaintiff was identified only as John Doe in the Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit filed against KEW Enterprises Inc., alleging discrimination, harassment, constructive termination, failure to prevent harassment and discrimination, and various state Labor Code violations.

Doe’s attorneys filed court papers on Friday with Judge Daniel Murphy notifying him of an “unconditional” resolution in the case. No terms were divulged.

In their previous court papers, KEW attorneys denied Doe’s allegations, said they were barred by the statute of limitations and that any damages he suffered were caused by his own intentional or negligent acts.

Doe was hired in November 2022 at age 17 as a part-time crew member. He contended that three supervisors used sexually explicit language around him and also inappropriately touched the plaintiff.

When Doe moved away from one of the boss’ hands, the supervisor laughed because his behavior was “normalized” at the Azusa restaurant, the suit alleged.

The same supervisor allegedly told Doe six times, “I am going to rape you” and told the plaintiff, “All Mexicans are farmers. I hate Mexicans,” the suit further stated.

The three supervisors continued harassing Doe even after being admonished by the store’s general manager, so Doe was compelled by his work environment to quit in May 2024, the suit stated.
