A man was killed and another person was injured during a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning at an off-ramp to the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at the West Eighth Street exit to the southbound freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office later identified him as 34-year-old Zachary Fugate.
Paramedics rushed one person to a hospital, according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department. That person’s condition was not immediately known.
A Sigalert issued at 5:08 a.m. for the closure of the West Eighth Street exit was canceled at 9:10 a.m.
