The Anaheim Ducks will hold Walk to End Alzheimer’s Night at Friday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Honda Center, seeking to get fans to become part of the Ducks walk team for the Nov. 15 walk at Angel Stadium.
Fans can register for the team at one of the Alzheimer’s Association booths at Honda Center’s concourse level or online at alz.org/walk and searching for the team’s walk captain, Wild Wing.
Proceeds from the walk benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, which provides funding for research, offers caregiver education, operates an around- the-clock helpline and organizes support groups throughout Orange County.
More than 84,000 people have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in Orange County, according to the association’s Orange County chapter.
