One person was killed and five others were injured Saturday night in a three-vehicle crash in Santa Ana, authorities said.
It was reported at 9:23 p.m. at the intersection of South Bristol and Central Avenue, Capt. Ben Gonzales of the Orange County Fire Authority said.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and five other people were taken to hospitals. Three suffered serious trauma and two sustained minor injuries, Gonzales said.
At least one of the victims had to be cut from the wreckage, he said.
A witness at the scene said the three-vehicle crash was the result of one of the vehicles running a red light.
