A 29-year-old man suspected of killing his mother, whose body was found in La Habra, was arrested Tuesday in Santa Maria.

Gabriel Espinoza was taken to Orange County Jail where he was held without bail. He will be arraigned at the Orange County Central Justice Center on Friday, said Sgt. Jose Quirarte of the La Habra Police Department.

The body of his mother, Emma Posadas Espinoza, 58, who also lived in the central coast area, was found partially clad in the some foliage behind a carport in the 900 block of South Idaho Street on July 21.

The body was discovered by a dog being walked off leash.
