A number of Southern California Edison customers in Santa Ana were without power Friday after a vehicle struck two palm trees and a power pole.
The accident occurred in the 1100 block of South Fairview Street around 11:37 p.m. Thursday, said Santa Ana Police Cmdr. Jose Gonzales. The force of the impact caused the power pole and the lines it was supporting to topple.
A Southern California Edison supervisor told a news videographer at the scene that power was unlikely to be restored to the area until midday.
