Law enforcement officials Monday were investigating the death of a man in his 20s who was shot in Anaheim and later died at a hospital, police said.
At around 3 a.m. Sunday, the unidentified victim walked into Anaheim Global Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
The man died of his injuries around 6 a.m., according to the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
Wyatt said detectives were conducting a homicide investigation in the 1500 block of west Embassy Street, which is about two and a half miles from Anaheim Global.
The victim’s identification was held pending notification of next of kin.
