A former seventh-grade teacher at a Placentia middle school pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually assaulting an underage relative and was immediately sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison.
Christopher Millette, a 37-year-old Fullerton resident, was teaching at Valadez Middle School Academy when he molested the female victim, who was not a student at the school, according to prosecutors.
The child was sexually assaulted between Aug. 1, 2012, and Dec. 28, 2014, prosecutors said.
Millette pleaded guilty to one count of oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 years old or younger in exchange for the dismissal of three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and one count of possession or control of child pornography, according to court records.
