Two Riverside women, who gained access to homes posing as housekeepers, pleaded guilty Thursday to several residential burglaries in south Orange County.
Sandra Elizabeth Rojas, 37, and Marie Alejandro Rojas, 40, related by marriage, have been in custody since their arrest on Sept. 15, 2014, according to jail records. They are scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 7.
They both pleaded guilty to six counts of first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property, all felonies. The burglaries occurred on April 2, 2014, Sept. 2, 2014, Sept. 10, 2014, Sept. 12, 2014, and Sept. 15, 2014.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the Riverside home where the two women lived and found evidence linking them to several of the burglaries, sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock said.
