A man accused of leading police on a pursuit and veering the car at a motorcycle officer during the chase was believed to be holed up in his home Thursday afternoon.
During the pursuit of a black Ford Mustang, which started just before 4 p.m., the suspect sideswiped cars and allegedly tried to hit an officer on a motorcycle before officers lost sight of him, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
Police learned the suspect had gone back to his home in the 300 block of North Gunther Place, Bertagna said, saw the car used in the pursuit at the residence.
“We’re asking him to come out, but he’s not coming out,” Bertagna said around 4:30 p.m.
