A suspected hit-and-run Orange County killer was on the run Saturday after she failed to show up for a scheduled court appearance.
Her $50,000 bail was immediately forfeited as authorities began their hunt for the elusive woman.
A fugitive warrant has been issued for the 27-year-old Trabuco Canyon woman charged with the hit-and-run death of a man in Stanton.
Abbigail Lynn Landaas, who was due in court Thursday, was declared a fugitive the following day, according to court records.
Landaas was allegedly behind the wheel of a white Hyundai that struck and killed Rosendo Perez about 7 p.m. Feb. 25 as he was crossing Cerritos Avenue near Sherrill Street, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Landaas allegedly abandoned her car at the scene and fled on foot.
