A call of downed power lines early Tuesday led sheriff’s deputies to shut down a marijuana grow operation in Stanton.

Orange County Fire Authority officials were called to the 12000 block of Court Street early today about downed power lines. Firefighters “did a welfare check at the residence and discovered a marijuana grow,” according to Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Mark Stichter.

A search warrant was served on the residence. No one was arrested as no one was home, but deputies seized about 90 mature plants and about 200 starter plants, according to Stichter.
